What to expect...

By the end of Toward Zero Waste module, you will feel that you know enough to work with the site manager, venue, or cleaning and waste contractor, to plan-in effective waste and resource recovery plans. You will:

Understand and apply concepts of resource recovery and zero waste
Have the know-how to identify the likely waste streams produced at your event
Put plans in place for waste avoidance and reduction
Have an awareness of how and why waste is generated at your event
Investigate available processing facilities along with local waste treatment options
Effectively assess waste and recycling systems with a venue management team and/or cleaning company
Communicate your event requirements to implement a plan to increase resource recovery efforts
Produce a zero waste event!
